Appendix B: PCIe Bus Configuration

You will encounter two PCIe slots on the riser card. The upper slot is
designed in x16 mode, while the lower slot is in x8 mode.

The usage mode for these two slots depends on the settings configured
in the BIOS. If the BIOS is in 1x16 mode, the upper slot will operate in
x16 mode, while the lower slot will not be available. Conversely, both
slots will operate in x8 mode when selecting 2x8 in the BIOS, and the
bandwidth of the upper slot (x16) will be split and shared with the
lower slot. By default, the BIOS is set to x16 mode.

Once you have configured the desired mode, save the changes and exit
the BIOS. Restart your system to apply the new PCIe slot configuration.
