[12] How to Use the Infrared Remote
When you want to take part in the action that you are
recording, you can start and pause recording as well as
operate the zoom and other functions simply by pressing
a button on the Infrared Remote (supplied). Aim it at the
Infrared Remote Sensor @ on the front of the Movie
Camera and press the corresponding Button. For details
about the functions of the buttons on the Infrared
Remote, refer to the corresponding pages (listed on
page 20). However, except on pages 19 and 20, the use
of the Infrared Remote is not explained in this manual.
Notes:
Do not cover the Infrared Remote Sensor @ on the
Infrared Remote with your hand, etc.
eThe Infrared Remote may not operate correctly if it is
used in direct suntight, near fluorescent lamps or too
close to the Movie Camera.
When you use the Infrared Remote outdoors, the
operating range may become shorter than 5 meters.
®To prevent inadvertent operation of other infrared
remote-controlted units, this Movie Camera needs to
receive each infrared command signal 2 times.
For this reason, there is a slight delay between
pressing the [W] or [T] Button on the infrared Remote
and the actual operation of the mechanical zoom
function on the Movie Camera.

[12] Utilisation de la télécommande a
infrarouge
Pour participer soi-méme a la scéne enregistrée, il est
possible de mettre le caméscope en marche,
d'interrompre l'enregistrement ainsi que d'actionner le
zoom et d'autres fonctions sur simple pression d'une
touche de Ia télécommande a infrarouge (fournie).
Orienter la télécommande sur le capteur de signal
infrarouge 1) situé sur le devant du caméscope, puis
appuyer sur la touche appropriée. Pour de plus amples
détails sur les fonctions des touches de la
télécommande, se reporter aux pages y afférentes (voir
liste 4 la page 20). a l'exception des explications
données aux pages 19 et 20, le fonctionnement de la
télécommande n'est pas décrit dans le présent manuel.
Nota:
eNe pas recouvrir la fenétre d'émission du signal @ de
la télécommande avec la main, etc.
eLa télécommande a infrarouge peut ne pas fonctionner
correctement si elle utilisée directement au soleil, a
proximité de lampes fluorescentes ou trop prés du
cameéscope.
#Lorsque la télécommande est utilisée a l'extérieur, sa
portée peut étre moindre que 5 métres.
@Afin de prévenir l'activation par inadvertance d'autres
appareils télécommandés par faisceau infrarouge, le
caméscope doit recevoir chaque signal de commande
& deux reprises.
Par conséquent, il y a un délai entre le moment ou les
touches du zoom sont pressées et l'enclenchement du
mécanisme de réglage du zoom.
