Whole-Home Backup
For whole-home backup installations where the Backup Gateway is installed between the
electrical service entrance and the utility meter, and ahead of all loads (Fig 44), do the
following:
• The pre-wired voltage taps and the pre-installed CT in the Backup Gateway are
correctly positioned for this configuration, and do not need to be relocated.
• If the site includes solar equipment, place an additional CT on the solar L1 wire in the
main switchboard.
