Chapter 5 Operation
Subframe numbers cannot be entered if CLOCK is set to VIDEO and
MODE DIP switch bit 7 is set to its up position .
Without the RM-D800
1 Press the DISPLAY key until the OFFSET indicator lights (either
frame or subframe display mode depending on the offset accuracy
you need).
2 If you want the PCM-800 to lead the master, first press and hold
the A key for a moment. Then, use the A and W keys to enter the
desired offset time.
To enter the subframe value
After step 1, proceed as follows:
Press and hold either A or W and press the other.
On the Master machine.
3 Press DISPLAY to show "SubF
" in the display.
4 Press A or © to enter the subframe value.
5 Press DISPLAY to go back to the original display.
With the RM-D800
1 Press MENU to get access to the "T/C : Offset" menu.
2 To set the offset time, you have two options:
(a) Use the + and - keys to enter the desired offset time.
To move the cursor to the left, hold SHIFT and press the - key.
To change the + to — (or vice versa), move the cursor thare,
and press the — (or the +).
(b) Use the numeric keys to enter the desired offset time int» the
LOCATE TIME window. Then hold SHIFT and press ENTER.
The entered time will appear on the menu.
Negative numbers cannot be entered using the numeric keys.
In this case first enter a positive number using the numeric
keys, then change the + to — as explained above.
