You can hook up a maximum of 16 PCM-800s and can handle a total
of 128 tracks in sync without using the optional DABK-801 Interface
Board or any external synchronizer/controller. .
Connections
Making sure that your whole system is turned off, connect the
REMOTE OUT connector on the RM-D800 to the REMOTE IN
connector on the first PCM-800, its SYNC OUT connector to the
SYNC IN connector on the second PCM-800, its SYNC OUT
connector to the SYNC IN connector on the third PCM-800, and so
on, as shown below.
Be sure to insert the provided termination plug into SYNC OUT
connector on the last PCM-800.

Machine ID (identification) numbers
After having hooked up multiple PCM-800s and before turning them
on, locate the MACHINE ID switch on the rear of the first PCM-800
and set it to "0"; and set the second PCM-800's switch to "1", the
third PCM-800's switch to "2", and so on, in their order of sync in ard
out connections.
Synchronization
1 After you have appropriately connected all components of your
system and numbered the machines, turn on the system.
Be sure to turn on all the slave PCM-800s before the master.

~:~ Press CHASE on the RM-D800.
"CHASE" will appear in the LOCATE TIME window.
