You can connect the Canon Canovision8 E50E Camcorder to a television using a C-150 AV Cable. The camcorder has an Audio terminal for audio signal output and a Video terminal for video signal output.
If the camcorder is not recording, the TAPE indicator may flash to warn that “No cassette is loaded or an unrecordable cassette is loaded”.
To clean the rotary drum (video heads), gently use a thick lens tissue wetted with ethyl alcohol. While cleaning, rotate the rotary drum counterclockwise gradually by hand. Do not rotate the motor using the power source or rotate the drum clockwise. It is important not to use the lens tissue vertically to the head chip, as this may damage it. This is a service procedure, not a user-level instruction.
The camcorder has a C. RESET button which, when pressed in any mode, “causes the linear tape counter to be reset to 0:00:00”. This is a specific function for the tape counter, not a general camcorder reset.
The Canon Canovision8 E50E Camcorder uses the CA-E7 Compact Power Adapter or the CB-E7 Car Battery Adapter. For battery pack charging, the CR-E7K Charge Coupler can be used.
