7. Push on the shift link end [1] lightly and check for play. If there is
play in the shift link, set the link at the center [2] of the play.
8. With the shift control cable [1] set in step 7, loosen the lock nut [2]
and turn the shift pivot (Black) [3] so that it can be connected to
the link rod [4] smoothly.
Connect the shift pivot to the link rod and slide the lock plate [5]
into the link rod groove with mark C aligned with the outer seal
end, and the link rod at the center of the play.
Tighten the lock nut of the shift control cable.
9. Make sure the detent roller [1] is in the shift arm groove [2] and
detent spring tip [3] to the neutral switch [4] pushed at shift to the
neutral position.
