UNPACKING
The steel crate frame may have sharp edges
or burrs.
You can be cut or injured if you come in
contact with sharp metal.
Always wear heavy gloves during unpacking
to protect your hands from any sharp edges
and burrs on the steel crate frame.
Remove the sixteen bolts [1] attaching the upper frame.
With the help from an assistant, slowly and carefully lift the upper
frame [1] up and away from the outboard motor. Be sure the upper
frame does not strike the outboard motor.
Lift up and remove the corrugated cardboard protector [1] (not used
for some types).
Cut the tie and remove the parts carton [2] from the crate. Compare
the parts to the parts list on page 10.
Remove the protective coverings [3].
