As a general rule, the outboard motor should be installed so the
anti-ventilation plate [1] is parallel to the boat bottom [2].
If the board transom angle [3] is less than 8°, the BF175D, BF200D,
BF225D and BF250D anti-ventilation plate will not be parallel to the
boat bottom when trimmed to the lowest hole.

Dual outboard motors must be installed so that the outboard motor
center-to-center distance [1] is a minimum of 711 mm (28 in).
