5.5.2 Threshold Based Sensors

Sensor event thresholds are classified as Non-critical (NC), Critical (CR), or Non-recoverable (NR). This
classification is possible in both directions (lower and upper).
The threshold-based sensor event data format is according to the IPMI specification. All defined sensors in
this sub-section will use below described event data bytes 1 – 3:

[7:6] = 01b (Trigger reading in
byte 2),
[5:4] = 01b (Trigger threshold
in byte 3),
[3:0] = Offset (threshold
event)
All thresholds specified subsequent will generate events (assertion and de-assertion event direction).
Unused thresholds have the event generation disabled (event mask bits in SDR data not set).
