3.4.1 Processor(s)

The FWA-3051 supports single Intel Xeon® D-2700 and D-2800 series processors. The table below gives
an overview of the processor SKUs for communication infrastructure which can be supported on the
FWA-3051:

Advantech is one of the first companies to adopt the latest Intel Xeon® D-2700 and D-2800 series to
power its latest SD-WAN platforms, providing new capabilities and generational improvements to
performance and power-efficiency.
The new CPU architecture provides up to 2x performance uplift in networking packet processing, giving
much higher data throughput that's ready to scale with business needs.
For compute-related tasks, like virus checking, security, and application performance, the new CPU
architecture performs 1.73x faster* in Single core floating point and 1.37x faster in Multi-core
performance compared to the previous generation.

3.4.2 PCIe Expansion

This feature is not available.

3.4.3 Network Interface (On board)

In the front panel, FWA-3051 provide all the on-board LAN ports for network connection.
The FWA-3051 supports two management 1.0 G RJ45 ports implemented using Intel i210 Ethernet
controllers. Connectors are labelled "MGMT".
There are four 10G SFP+ ports implemented using SoC integrated MAC. Connectors are labelled "SFP+"
There are eight 1G RJ45 ports implemented using SoC integrated MAC (port number 5~8) and Intel i350
Ethernet controllers (port number 9~12). Connectors are labelled "1G."
Also, the FWA-3051 contains one port which provides dedicated IPMC interfaces to BMC. Connectors
are located at labelled as "IPMI".
