Test items Description
[1] ROM - checksum verification
[2] RAM - there are three subitems under this test:
[3] KEY - promptly displays on the LCD the name of the key just pressed.
[4] 232 - loop back test on RS-232 port
Connects TX with RD, RTS with CTS, DSR with DTR. The test
checks the RS-232 port by sending data out via the TX pin and
reading it back via the RD pin to see if the RS-232 port is working
normally.
[5] 485 - loop back test on RS-485 port
Connects TX(+) with RX(+), TX(-) with RX(-). The testing sends
data out via the TX(+), TX(-) pin and reads it back from the RX(+),
RX(-) pin to see if the RS-485 port is working normally.
[6] LCD - shows each character pattern on the entire screen for visual
checking of the LCD pixels.
[7] RTC - tests the real time clock.
[8] BAR - tests the barcode scanning interface. No decoding is performed.
[9] SLT - tests the badge slot, if it is present.
[F1] SPK - tests the on board buzzer.
[F2] RLY - tests the relay output port.
[F3] PHO - tests the photo-coupler.
[F4] BUK - tests RAM data retention ability during a power outage.
[F5] - ends diagnostics and returns to Ready mode.
7.9. UPDATE BIOS and Write program file to Flash ROM
This item is one of the main feature provide by the MR350MKII.When this item is
selected, there is three items can be choose. User can select one of the program to
add/erase user' s program saved in the FlashROM of the MR350MKII, or updating
the MR350MKII system BIOS firmware.
