1.5.1 DANGER, WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS

This chapter includes a list of danger, warning, and caution messages related to Rescue Life
accessories. Many of these messages could be repeated elsewhere in this user manual and on the
equipment. The entire list is presented here for convenience.

1.5.2 RESPONSIBILITY FOR INFORMATION

It is the obligation of our customers to ensure that the appropriate person(s) within their organization have
access to this information, including general safety information which are given in this manual.

1.5.3 GENERAL

Assure yourself prior and after the use of the RESCUE LIFE 9 that the unit is in safe and usable condition
(cables integrity, pads, battery status).
Assure that the battery charge, ECG trace, selected energy value, SYNC mode and status battery are well
functioning.
RESCUE LIFE 9 is not intended for use in areas of highly inflammable anesthetics or other inflammable
substances, especially in high concentration of oxygen areas.
RESCUE LIFE 9 does not have to be put or used nearby a nuclear spin tomography plant, which is turned on.

Rescue Life
1 - INTRODUCTION
IMMEDIATE HAZARDS THAT WILL RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.
CONDITIONS, HAZARDS OR UNSAFE PRACTICES THAT MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL
INJURY OR DEATH.
CONDITIONS, HAZARDS OR UNSAFE PRACTICES THAT MAY RESULT IN MINOR PERSONAL
INJURY, DEVICE DAMAGE OR DATA LOSS.
Hazardous electrical output. this equipment is for use only by qualified
personnel.
Do not attempt to operate this device unless thoroughly familiar with
these operating instructions and the function of all controls, indicators,
connectors, and accessories.
1. Possible explosion hazard if used in the presence of flammable
anesthetics or concentrated oxygen.
2. Use care when operating this device close to oxygen sources (such
as bag-valve-mask devices or ventilator tubing). turn off gas source
or move source away from patient during defibrillation.
3. The equipment has not been evaluated or approved for use in
hazardous locations as defined in the national electric code
standard. In compliance with EN classification the equipment is not
to be used in the presence of flammable substance/air mixtures.
