• Do not tow vehicles with sling-type
equipment. Only use wheel lift or
flatbed equipment.

• Your vehicle is not designed to be
dinghy towed (with 4 wheels on the
ground) behind a motor home. To avoid
serious damage to your vehicle, do not
tow your vehicle with four wheels on
the ground.

When towing your vehicle without wheel
dollies:
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Place the ignition switch to the
LOCK/OFF position.
3. Change the gear to N (Neutral) while
depressing the brake pedal. Place the
ignition switch to the LOCK/OFF
position.
4. Place the ignition switch to the
LOCK/OFF position.
5. Release the parking brake (hand type).
WARNING
If your vehicle is equipped with a rollover
sensor, place the ignition switch in the
LOCK/OFF or ACC position when the
vehicle is being towed. The side impact
and curtain air bag may deploy if the
sensor detects the situation as a rollover.
NOTICE
Always shift the gear to N (Neutral) to
prevent damage to the transmission
before towing.

Removable towing hook

1. Open the trunk, and remove the towing
hook from the tool case.

2. Remove the hole cover by pressing the
lower part of the cover on the bumper.

3. Install the towing hook by turning it
clockwise into the hole until it is fully
secured.
