2. Move the idle gear 1, 2 to the front and rear to
measure the side clearance.
NOTE
• If the measurement is more than the service
limit, replace the idle gear 1, 2 collar.

1. Measure the idle gear shaft O.D. with an outside
micrometer.

3. Calculate the oil clearance.
NOTE
• If the oil clearance is more than the service
limit, replace the bushing.
• If the oil clearance is still more than the
service limit, replace the idle gear shaft.
