Probable cause and checking
procedure
1. No fuel
2. Air in the fuel system
3. Water in the fuel system
4. The fuel pipe is damaged
5. The fuel filter is clogged
6. The viscosity of fuel or engine
oil at low temperature is too high
7. The cetane number of fuel is
low
8. Fuel leakage because of loose
injection pipe retaining nut
9. Incorrect injection timing
10. The fuel camshaft is worn out
11. The injection nozzle is clog-
ged
12. The injection pump is dam-
aged
13. Seizure of the crankshaft,
camshaft, piston, cylinder or
bearing
