4.5 Checking fan belt damage and
wear
1. Check the fan belt for damage.
(A) Good
NOTE
• If the fan belt has a damage, replace it.
2. Check if the fan belt is worn out and sunk in the
pulley groove.

• If it is "Bad" (B), replace it.
4.6 Checking radiator cap air
leakage
CAUTION
• Remove the radiator cap only after you stop the
engine for a minimum of 10 minutes to decrease
its temperature.
If not, hot water can gush out and cause injury.
Tools required
• Radiator cap tester and an adapter
1. Set a radiator tester and an adapter on the radiator
cap.
2. Apply the specified pressure.

3. Measure the time for the pressure to decrease to
specified pressure.

4.7 Checking radiator water leakage
