4. Checking and adjusting
3. Install the injection nozzle (2) jetted with the proper
injection pressure to the injection pump pressure
tester (1). (Refer to the photo.)

4. Set the speed control lever to the maximum speed
position.
5. Operate the starter to increase the pressure.
NOTE
• If the pressure can not reach the service
limit, replace the pump with a new one or
repair it at a Kubota-authorized pump
service shop.
• Never try to disassemble the injection pump
assembly.
For repairs, you are strongly requested to
contact a Kubota-authorized pump service
shop.

Tools required
• Injection pump pressure tester
1. Remove the injection pipes and glow plugs.
2. Set an injection pump pressure tester (1) to the fuel
injection pump.
3. Install the injection nozzle (2) jetted with the proper
injection pressure to the injection pump pressure
tester (1).

4. Operate the starter to increase the pressure.
5. Stop the starter when the fuel jets from the injection
nozzle (2). After that, turn the flywheel by hands
and raise the pressure to approx. 13.73 MPa

6. Now turn the flywheel back about half a turn (to
keep the plunger free) and keep the flywheel at this
position.
7. Measure the time until the pressure drops.
NOTE
• If the measurement is less than service limit,
replace the pump with a new one or repair it
at a Kubota-authorized pump service shop.
• Never try to disassemble the injection pump
assembly.
For repairs, you are strongly requested to
contact a Kubota-authorized pump service
shop.
