The following terms are defined for SCSI communication:
CDB
Command descriptor block.
In
Means coming from the target to the initiator, such as
Initiator
Any device which initiates an exchange on the SCSI bus.
Library
Refers to a logical library.
LUN
Refers to a logical unit number.
Numbering
A number followed by a lower case
Out
Means going from the initiator to the target, such as
Target
Any device that is the target of an exchange on the SCSI bus.
