Factory Reset
WARNING: A factory reset will permanently delete all your personal settings, timers and stored channels.
Please consider this before you perform a factory reset.
WARNING: NEVER power off the receiver or remove the USB device during the Factory Reset process.
Doing so might cause irreparable damage to your receiver and will void your warranty.

7.6.1 Software Upgrade

If a software update for your receiver model should become available it will be published on our official
website, there download the required update from the support page. Unzip the file on your computer and
copy the software file to the root folder of your USB storage device. This may be a USB Pen drive.
NOTE: At Upgrade Type is also the Dump function available. Write settings and channel lists to the USB
device before upgrading software. See below at Dump.
For software upgrade at the receiver:
Connect your USB device containing the new software to the USB port of the unit.
Go to the Software Upgrade menu.
There, press OK to enter to the USB Upgrade sub menu.
At Upgrade Type select USB Upgrade (default)
At Section select All (default)
At File Path press OK.
A popup screen will show, if applicable, select the partition (USB (C:) is default) where the file is stored. The
root folder is now shown in the popup, and then select the correct update file. Then press OK, the file will be
selected for upgrade. Go to {Start} and press OK. A progress banner will now be displayed, running up to full
Yellow. The receiver will reboot and start with the Installation Guide menu. Then re-install our receiver.
WARNING: Do not download and upgrade with software that was not published on our official website.

Dump: Other options in the Software Upgrade menu at Upgrade Type is the Dump function.
With this function you can back-up the settings and channel list(s) you have created before, to quickly re-
install those after for example a software upgrade.
At Upgrade Type select Dump.
At File Path press OK.
Select the root folder of our USB device.
Go to Start and press OK. A progress banner will now be displayed, running up to full Yellow. A file with the
name dump_all.bin will be created on your USB device. Press OK and EXIT to continue.
NOTE: If needed, you may this rename this file on a PC, for example adding date and time,
to distinguish for future use.

If the unit should suddenly behave irregular, after for example a software
update or mains power failure, you can try to solve the problem with a factory
reset. Also, if you have made changes in the settings, and you have forgotten
exactly which setting was changed, you can restore to factory defaults and
start from there. To use this option you must always enter the active password.

start with the Installation Guide menu.
