To use the remote control (RCU), point it towards the front of the receiver. The remote control has a range
of up to 7 metres from the receiver, if properly aligned towards the IR eye on the front panel. The remote
control will not operate if its path is blocked.
NOT: Sunlight or other very bright light might decrease the sensitivity of the remote control.

3. CONNECTION

3.1 Basic connection using an HDMI cable

a. Connect the wall outlet of your cable signal provider to the CABLE IN connector of your receiver using a
good quality coax cable and suitable 'IEC' plugs.
b. Connect one end of a good quality HDMI cable to the HDMI output on your receiver and the other end
to an HDMI input of your TV.
c. Connect the supplied power adapter to the receiver at the power supply input. Then plug the power
adapter to a suitable wall outlet.

3.2 Alternatively: Basic connection using a Scart cable

a. Connect the wall outlet of your cable signal provider to the CABLE IN connector of your receiver using a
good quality coax cable and suitable 'IEC' plugs.
b. Connect one end of a good quality Scart cable to the TV SCART connector on your receiver and the
other end to the SCART input of your TV.
c. Connect the supplied power adapter to the receiver at the power supply input. Then plug the power
adapter to a suitable wall outlet.
