■ Using the Intercom

The Intercom function enables you to communicate between the deck and the cabin. The
optional HM-195 commandmic
L Connect the HM-195 as described on page 85.
NOTE: While using the Intercom function,
• Transmit is disabled.
• The received call audio is muted.
• Operation is disabled on devices other than the two that are using the Intercom function.

Open the "INTERCOM" screen.
[MENU] > Intercom

Select a unit, and then push [ENT] or [DIAL].
• Enters the Intercom mode.
L "ALL" is displayed only when 3 command
microphones are connected to the transceiver.
L The controller being operated has "(Own)"
appended to its name.

Hold down
• The command microphone sounds beeps while
holding down
• "CALL" is displayed.
4.
After releasing
speak into the microphone at your normal
voice level.
• " TALK" is displayed.
L To adjust the command microphone's
intercom volume level, rotate [VOL] on the
command microphone.
5.
After releasing [PTT], you can hear the
response through the speaker.
6.
Push [CLEAR] to return to the previous screen.
NOTE: While in the Intercom mode, the transmit and receive functions are
disabled. When the transceiver is transmitting, the Intercom function is disabled.
