Dismantling the nebuliser
handset
Dismantle the nebuliser handset into its
individual parts in the following order (see
Figure on page 41):
• Detac the nebuliser handset (2) from
the connection cord adapter (8):
• Remove the mouthpiece, the mask or
the Filter/Valve Set from the nebuliser
handset.
• Carefully pull the expiratory valve (7a)
out of the slot in the mouthpiece.
Note:
The expiratory valve is held in place
by a thin fixing clip so that it cannot
get lost. This clip must not be
detached from the mouthpiece.
• Take off the medication cap (4) and
shake out the medication residue.
• Press the cap seal (4a) downwards and
out of the cap (4b).
• Lift the locking clip on the aerosol cham-
ber (5a) so that the nebuliser handset
can be opened up.
Note:
The medication reservoir and
aerosol chamber are already pre-
assembled and must not be sepa-
rated at the hinged joint (danger of
breakage).

• Press lightly on the engaging hooks on
the sides of the aerosol head (3) to
release it from the retainer on the medi-
cation reservoir (5):

• Remove the inspiratory valve (6) from
the aerosol chamber.
