Setting a Password

Run SmartNetMonitor for Admin.

Click the [Group] menu, point to [Search Device], and then click [TCP/IP] or [IPX/SPX].
A list of printer appears.

Select the protocol of the printer for which you want to change configuration.

In the list, select the printer for which you want to change configuration.

On the [Tools] menu, click [NIB Setup Tool].
NIB Setup Tool starts.
Note
To prevent the network interface board configuration from being changed accidentally by some-
one other than the network administrator, you can set a password in [NIB Setup Tool] that is dif-
ferent from the network password. Click [Option] to set a password in [NIB Setup Tool].

Click [Property Sheet], and then click [OK].

Click the [Password] tab.

Select the [Change Password] check box, enter a password, and then click [OK].
