Evacuating the System

Some systems are equipped with vacuum capabilities; all are equipped with purge capabilities. Purge gas
exits through the anti-siphon exit port assembly.
CAUTION: Never place any type of valve between the EM exhaust and the anti-siphon exit port
assembly.

The EM is equipped with a vacuum meter assembly for determination of the vacuum level.
Vacuum and Purge Operation

Verify all vacuum connections.

Check the oil level in the anti-siphon exit port. Add vacuum pump oil as needed to reach the level marked
on the outside of the reservoir.

Close all purge valves.

Turn on the vacuum pump.

Evacuate the system to at least 50 mTorr.
