The Pins/Autosampler Control window displays. Click Pins Clean to lower the pins.

Check the pin shape. The slightly pointy shape of the pin can dent or even penetrate the sample. The tip
should be slightly flat.

Use very fine sandpaper (30 mic grade) to clean the tip of each pin. Slowly and carefully smooth out
any rough edges or points. Use a dry, soft cleaning paper to remove any remnants from the tip of the pin.
