Connecting the Power

Plug the power cord from the SYSTEM POWER on the back of the DXF to an electrical outlet rated in
accordance with the power input information on the back of the instrument.
CAUTION: Whenever plugging or unplugging power cords, handle them by the plugs, not by the
cords.
MISE EN GARDE: Chaque fois que vous branchez ou débranchez les cordons d'alimentation,
tenez-les par les fiches et non par les cordons.

Setting Up the Vacuum System

The vacuum system is an accessory available for purchase at TA Instruments. If you are not using a vac-
uum system, close the valve with a blanking plate.

Place the vacuum pump on the floor below the left side of the unit.

Place the o-ring with centering ring between the QF-25 flange on the instrument and the QF-25 flange
on the vacuum hose.

Clamp the flanges together with a QF-25 clamp.

Connect the QF-25 flange on the opposite end of the hose to the QF-25 flange on the mechanical vacuum
pump.

Connect the anti-siphon exit port to the quick-connect fitting.

Connect the vacuum gauge cable from the VACUUM GAUGE port on the back of the EM to the vacuum.
