to an unlined brick chimney it is generally unnecessary for the chimney pot to be
replaced or for a terminal to be fitted unless the flue has a diameter smaller than
170mm.

6. PRE-INSTALLATION PREPARATION

6.1 Unpacking.

The carton contains the following:-
1 off Fire assembly.
1 off Ceramic fuel effect (In packaging inside firebox).
1 off Closure plate.
1 off Smoke match tube.
1 off Olive & olive nut for gas line connection
1 off Literature pack
Remove all the items carefully to prevent damage. Some items may be contained in
the packaging fitments - Examine the packaging carefully before discarding. Check
that all the items are present and undamaged.

6.2 Appliance preparation.

1. Stand the fire upright.
2. Remove two transit screws from the upper back
panel (See figure 5).
3. Remove the control knob by pulling clear of the
gas tap spindle.
4. Remove the control bezel by unscrewing two
screws (See figure 6).
5. Detach the fascia by removing the screws at the
sides (See figure 6).
Spring the bottom corners of the fascia outward and
pull the bottom of the fascia forward to clear the
fixing brackets. Lift the fascia upward and forward
to clear the top location (See figure 6).
