5.11.9 Safe Torque Off (STO) Wiring

The Safe Torque Off (STO) function is a component in a safety control system. STO prevents the unit from generating the voltage
required to rotate the motor. To run the STO function, more wiring for the drive is required. Refer to the VLT
Operating Guide.

5.11.10 Space Heater Wiring

The space heater is an option used to prevent condensation from forming inside the enclosure when the unit is turned off. It is field
wired and controlled by an HVAC management system.
Specifications:
Nominal voltage: 100–240
Wire size: 12–24 AWG (4–0.25 mm

5.11.11 Auxiliary Contact Wiring for Disconnects

The disconnect is an option that is installed at the factory. The auxiliary contacts, which are signal accessories used with the disconnect,
are not installed at the factory to allow more flexibility during installation. The contacts snap into place without the need for tools.
Contacts must be installed in specific locations on the disconnect depending on their functions. Refer to the datasheet included in the
accessory bag that comes with the drive.
