Rear bench seat

Risk of accident
For safety reasons, only adjust the rear
bench seat when the vehicle is stationary.
Risk of injury
The rear bench seat must be adjusted in
such a way that the seat belt can be fas-
tened correctly ( page 31).
The back of the body must be against the
backrest and the seat belt must be at shoul-
der height.
Only drive with the head restraints fitted.
This reduces the risk of injury in the event of
an accident.
The head restraint must support the back of
your head at about eye level.

Seat positions which do not allow you to
wear your seat belt correctly are a safety
hazard and must therefore be avoided.
Make sure that nobody can become trapped
as the seat is adjusted.

Make sure that the seat lock clicks audibly
into place.
The rear bench seat is divided asymmetri-
cally. You can move the left-hand and right-
hand sections separately to enlarge the
luggage compartment. The following varia-
tions are possible:
The backrests folded down
The rear bench seat folded fully for-
wards

Remove the head restraints
( page 96).
Pull release lever 1 and fold the back-
rest forwards until it engages.
