You can make the following settings:

Selecting the switch-on time
You can set up to three switch-on times us-
ing the AUXILIARY HEATING SWITCH-ON TIME
function. Set the exact switch-on time us-
ing the additional functions in the
submenu.
A switch-on time is activated if it has been
selected and:

a different menu has been selected

The yellow indicator lamp in the auxilia-
ry heating* switch on the centre con-
sole then lights up ( page 194).
Set the temperature using Thermatic
( page 184). You can switch off the auxil-
iary heating* using the remote control.
The auxiliary heating* switches off auto-
HEATER
matically after 50 minutes. You can have
this time changed. Visit a qualified special-
ist workshop, e.g. a Mercedes-Benz Serv-
ice Centre, for this purpose.

Controls in detail
Operating system
Risk of fire and poisoning
Hot and poisonous exhaust fumes are pro-
duced when the auxiliary heating* or heater
booster system are in operation. When the ve-
hicle is being refuelled, fuel vapours may ig-
nite on the hot exhaust system.
Do not switch on the auxiliary heating*:
at the filling station
in confined spaces with no ventilation,
e.g. in the garage
You could otherwise endanger yourself
and others.
