Whenever possible, transport loads be-
hind seats that are not occupied.
As far as is possible, loads should be
transported in the luggage compart-
ment with the backrests engaged in an
upright position.

If the rear bench seat is not occupied:
insert each seat belt cross-wise into
the opposite buckle
Secure any kind of load with sufficient
wear and tear-resistant lashing
material.
Pad sharp edges for protection.
Anchoring loads
Long-wheelbase station wagon:
There are four lashing eyelets on the sides
of the luggage compartment.
Short-wheelbase station wagon and
Cabriolet:
There are two lashing eyelets at the sides
under the rear bench seat.

Please note the following information for
anchoring loads:
Secure loads to the lashing eyelets.
Do not use elastic securing straps or
nets. These are only suitable as anti-
slip protection for lighter loads.
