– Remove the Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 - G108- -1- with the
Ring Wrench Set - Oxygen Sensor Probe Socket - 3337/7- .
– Remove the Oxygen Sensor 2 after Catalytic Converter -
G130- -2- with the Ring Wrench 7-Piece Set - Wrench 1 -
3337/1- .
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Tightening specifications. Refer to
⇒ "3.17 Overview - Heated Oxygen Sensors", page 52
Note
Coat new oxygen sensors with an assembly paste.
Only the thread may be coated with hot bolt paste on a used
oxygen sensor. Refer to the Parts Catalog
Assembly paste or hot bolt paste must not enter the slots on
the sensor body.
Wire connection of the heated oxygen sensor must always be
secured in the same position when installing so that contact
with the exhaust pipe is avoided.
The hose connections as well as the air duct pipes and hoses
must be free of oil and grease before installing.
Secure all hose connections with standard production hose
clamps. Refer to the Parts Catalog.
To mount the air guide hoses on their connectors securely,
spray the bolts on the used clamps with rust remover before
installing.
