II. Troubleshooting when illegible characters are displayed on the terminal
If illegible characters are displayed at the console terminal, the problem probably lies in
the parameter settings on the terminal (such as HyperTerminal). Verify the following
terminal parameter (such as HyperTerminal) settings:
Bits per second: 9600
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
Emulation: VT100.
