Symptom
Cannot print.
Cannot print with USB
drive.
USB drive not
recognized.
While "Auto-IP" is already
set to [On], the IP
address is not assigned
automatically.
Checkpoints
Is the machine plugged in?
Is the machine powered on?
Are the USB cable and network
cable connected?
Is the print job paused?
When the wired or Wi-Fi network is
configured using the name
resolution, does the IP address
(private address) of the other
network which can not access
coexists?
Is the USB host blocked?
Is a value other than "0.0.0.0"
entered for the link local address of
TCP/IP(v4)?
Corrective Actions
Plug the power cord into an AC
outlet.
Turn on the power switch.
Connect the correct USB cable and
network cable securely.
Resume printing.
The number of host name and
domain name which can be used
with the machine is one
respectively. Configure the network
under this restriction.
Change the settings of name
resolution such as NetBEUI and
DNS, or network environment
settings.
Select Wi-Fi, Wired Network or
Optional Network as an unlimited-
use network on Primary Network
(Client).
Set to [Wired Network] or [Wi-Fi]
either one of [On], and set the other
setting to [Off].
Select [Unblock] in the USB host
settings.
Check that the USB drive is
securely plugged into the machine.
Enter "0.0.0.0" for the IP address of
TCP/IP(v4).
