Getting Started
Configuring Epicor Dimensions Canada

Add Security

The Security Key supplied by Epicor Dimensions must be entered.
1. From the main Epicor Dimensions menu select Variable File  Variable
File Maintenance  Security Information.
2. Press d.
3. Enter 11 and press J. The cursor will move to line 11.
4. Enter the 12-digit Security Key as supplied by Epicor Dimensions and
press J. The expiry date will change to 99/99/99 (i.e. no expiry).
5. Press E to exit the program.

Create the Port in BBRWIN.CFG

The port must be configured properly in BBRWIN.CFG.
Note: Editing the file BBRWIN.CFG should only be done by Epicor
personnel.
Configure the port as a socket port in BBRWIN.CFG (socket port = 40000 + port
number, type=2). The following example configures port 76:

Re-Launch Dimensions

After the port has been created in VM5 and BBRWIN.CFG, bye off and re-launch
the port so that the above changes will take effect.

Create Required File

A new file, RFH.d, is required. Create it with 100 records using DS08911.

Configuring TelnetCE

The handheld device uses a TelnetCE terminal emulator to connect to the
Dimensions server. In many ways, this is comparable to the way an Axel or Wyse
terminal connects.
To configure the TelnetCE client see the section Installing TelnetCE (Wavelink) in
the Appendix at the end of this document.
