Feed Speed
Choose a slower feed speed if media is creased or torn or
sticks together during printing. The lower the value, the
slower the speed.

Use the d/u buttons to select Feed Speed and
press the Z button.
B
Use the d/u buttons to choose a value.
C
Select the desired option and press the Z
button.
D
Press the y button to return to the customize
settings menu.
Exiting the Menus
Press W to exit the menus.
Changing Heater and Fan
Settings
You can adjust heater temperature or turn the fan for the
optional print drying system on or off during printing.
The default heater temperatures are as follows.
Pre-heater: 40 ˚C
Platen heater: 40 ˚C
After heater: 50 ˚C

Additional Dryer defaults to On; at this setting, the fan
turns on automatically when printing starts.
Additional Dryer is available only when an optional
additional print drying system is connected.
The following gives the procedure used when the
optional additional print drying system is installed.
Basic Operations
Note:
❏ Temperature and Additional Dryer settings can be
stored separately for each media type. U

❏ The time needed for the heaters to reach the specified
temperatures varies with the ambient temperature.
Buttons that are used in the following settings
A
After checking that the printer is ready, press the
button to display the Heating & Drying
menu.
B
Use the d/u buttons to select the desired option
and press the Z button.
C
Choose a value.
Heater Temperature
(1) You can set the temperatures of the pre-heater,
platen heater, and after heater.
(2) Use the r/l buttons to select a heater. From
left, the options are pre-heater, platen heater,
and after heater.
(3) After selecting the desired heater, use the d/u
buttons to choose the temperature.
(4) Select the desired option and press the Z
button.
Additional Dryer
(1) Use the d/u buttons to select On or Off.
(2) Press the Z button.
