Copying and Moving Calls from Journal Files
to Call Buckets
When you copy or move a journal file to a call bucket, the journal file's purge
flag is removed. This means that it will no longer be automatically deleted,
based on the configured purge schedule. You will need to move the call back to
the Journal Files display in order for it to be a candidate for purging.
To copy or move journal files to call buckets, follow these steps:
1
From the Location drop-down list at the top of the Location Type pane,
select Journal Files.
The Journal Files display appears in the Client Explorer window.
2
In the Journal Files display, select the file(s) that you want to copy or
move.
You can select multiple files by holding down the Ctrl key on your
keyboard while selecting each file.
If the files you want to select appear together on consecutive rows in the
Client Explorer window, select the first file in the list, hold down the
Shift key on your keyboard, then select the last file in the list to select
the group of files.
3
Do one of the following:
Select User Actions > Edit Call Buckets, then select either Copy or
Move.
OR
Right-click and select either Copy Journal Files to Call Bucket
Display or Move Journal Files to Call Bucket Display from the popup
menu.
The Edit Call Buckets dialog box appears. Depending on your selection,
either the Copy To option button or the Move To option button will be
selected.
