Backing up the MCG 3100 Server databases

describes the steps you use to back up the MCG 3100 Server databases.
Action
Log on to the server as nortel.
For more information, see
Become the root user:
su - root
Enter the root password.
Stop the Group Call Server process:
/sbin/service sipconf stop
Stop the Gateway Server process:
/sbin/service mobilitygw stop
Stop the Administration Server process:
/sbin/service mobilityadmin stop
Change to the backup directory:
cd /opt/<backup_dir>
<backup_dir> is the backup directory for your backup. The backup
directory can be any directory on the server.
OR
Create a new backup directory.
At the prompt, enter the following command:
mysqldump --opt --all-databases >backup.sql
Copy the backup file to a removable disk or to an off-site location.
copy <backup_filename> /<backup_dir>
<backup_filename> is your backup file and <backup_dir> is the
directory on the removable media or off-site location.
Start the Group Call Server process:
/sbin/service sipconf start
Start the Gateway Server process:
