TDX Spree with Formula CG Tilt/Elevate Seat
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 4 on page 16.
1. Remove the seat cushion.
2. Remove the two socket screws securing the seat pan to the seat frame.
3. Remove the seat pan from the seat frame.
4. Verify seat mounting location (Detail "D") and perform one of the following:
• Seat MUST be Repositioned - Proceed to STEP 6.
• Seat DOES NOT Need Repositioned - Proceed to STEP 28.
5. Elevate the seat. Refer to the Owners Manual shipped with the wheelchair base.
6. Turn wheelchair power on and tilt the seat back.
7. Turn wheelchair power off.
NOTE: Weldnuts (attached to the actuator post) or locknuts will be used with the four counter
sunk socket head cap screws to secure the seat assembly to the actuator post.
8. Remove the two rear counter sunk socket head cap screws, washers and locknuts (if
used) securing the seat assembly to the actuator post (Detail "E").
9. Turn wheelchair power on and tilt the seat to the upright position.
10. Turn wheelchair power off.
11. Remove the two front counter sunk socket head cap screws, washers and locknuts (if
used) securing the seat assembly to the actuator post.
12. Reposition the seat frame assembly on the actuator post and the seat-to-floor height
bracket (if used) to the mounting position shown in Detail "D".
13. Apply Loctite 242 to the four counter sunk socket head cap screws.
14. Using two front counter sunk socket head cap screws, washers and locknuts (if used),
secure the seat frame assembly to the to the front mounting holes of the actuator post
and the seat-to-floor height bracket (if present) (Detail "E").
15. Turn wheelchair power on and tilt the seat back.
16. Turn wheelchair power off.
NOTE: When installing the counter sunk socket head cap screws, ensure screws are installed so
that the screw heads are low enough to allow the tilt system to operate.
17. Using the two rear counter sunk socket head cap screws, washers and locknuts (if
used), loosely secure the seat frame assembly to the rear mounting holes of the
actuator post and the seat-to-floor height bracket (if present).
18. Turn wheelchair power on and tilt the seat to the upright position.
19. Turn wheelchair power off.
20. Install the front riggings. Refer to seating system manual.
21. Torque the two front counter sunk socket head cap screws to 23 ft-lbs ± 20%.
22. Turn wheelchair power on and tilt the seat to the up position.
23. Turn wheelchair power off.
