Replacement of product-contacted seals

7.6.1. Pneum. SVP aseptic change-over valve air to open - spring to close - diaphragm – O-ring
Avoid damages to metallic valve disc surfaces and valve disc seal.
Caution
Disassembling the valve
I.1. Disconnect the electrical and pneumatic leads
I.2. Attach the pneumatic supply line (auxiliary assembly air) onto the connection L.
Preload the actuator spring ⇒ control air pressure min. 5 bar (auxiliary assembly air) to connection L.
I.3.
I.4. Disassemble clamp (2) (Tools: Double open ended wrench (wrench size) 17).
Danger
Release the actuator spring ⇒ control air pressure 0 bar (auxiliary assembly air) on connection L.

I.6. Disconnect the pneumatic supply line (auxiliary assembly air) from connection L
I.7. Remove upper part of valve (1).
I.8. Disassemble the spindle (3) with the valve disk (5) and the diaphragm (4) by loosening the threaded connection
GV (Tools: Double open ended wrench (wrench size) 17).

I.9. Disassemble the spindle (3) from the valve disk (5) by loosening the threaded connection GV
open ended wrench (wrench size) 17 and 12).
I.10. Remove the diaphragm (4) from the valve disk (5).
I.11. Remove O-rings (6, 7, 8) (take note: chapter 7.7. "Fitting O-ring" – tools: punch).

Before disconnecting the clamp connection ensure or observe that the
closing spring is preloaded before disassembling the control head. In
case of non-compliance there is a risk of injury when removing the
clamp connection, due to the released spring tension of the actuator.

Do not reach into the openings of the SVP control unit.

