8. Bleeding air
Bleed air from the hydraulic circuit according to the following procedure.
1) Run the engine at low idle.
2) Extend and retract each cylinder and stop it about 100 mm before the stroke end 4 - 5 times. (Do
not relieve the oil at the stroke end.)
3) Extend and retract each cylinder to the stroke end 3 - 4 times.
4) Lower the shank point to the ground and check the hydraulic oil level. If the hydraulic oil level is
low, add hydraulic oil according to the Operation and Maintenance Manual.
a At this time, lower the blade to the ground, too.
5) While bleeding air, check that each cylinder hose moves freely and no oil leaks from each joint.
9. Installation of shank assembly
1) Start the engine, raise the ripper assembly to the maximum, and set the beam horizontally.
2) Raise the rear of the machine body to 700 mm or move the machine to a pit where there is a
clearance of at least 700 mm under the ground level.
3) Pass a wire through the shank mounting hole of the ripper beam and sling shank (11) and fix it
with pin (12).
