2.3.2 Relative contraindications
Consult the physician if any of the following occur: skin diseases/injuries,
inflammation, raised scars with swelling, reddening, and warming in the
area where the orthosis is fitted, tumours, lymphatic congestion – including
unclear swelling of soft tissue distal to the device, and dysaesthesia in the
legs.
2.4 Effects
The orthosis promotes sensorimotor functions and activates muscular stabil­
isation of the lumbar spine. It supports pain relief and relieves the lumbar
spine.
