These instructions for use provide important information on the fitting and
application of the 50R50 Lumbo Direxa, 50R51 Lumbo Direxa Women and
50R52 Lumbo Direxa High lumbar orthoses.
2 Application
2.1 Intended Use
The orthosis is intended exclusively for orthotic fittings of the trunk and
exclusively for contact with intact skin.
The orthosis must be used according to the indications and following the
instructions of a physician.
2.2 Indications
50R50 Lumbo Direxa, 50R51 Lumbo Direxa Women
• Moderate low back pain and sciatica
• Myostatic insufficiency/muscular imbalance of the lumbar trunk muscles
• Moderate degenerative changes of the lumbar spine (e.g. osteochon­
drosis, facet joint syndrome)
• Intervertebral disc protrusion L4-S1
• Stabilisation after discectomy L4-S1
• Moderate irritation of the sacroiliac joint
Indications must be determined by the physician.
50R52 Lumbo Direxa High
• Slight to moderate low back pain, sciatica, thoracic and lumbar ligament
sprain
• Myostatic insufficiency/muscular imbalance of the lumbar and lower
thoracic trunk muscles
• Moderate degenerative changes of the lumbar and lower thoracic spine
(e.g. osteochondrosis, facet joint syndrome)
• Intervertebral disc protrusion L1-S1
• Stabilisation after discectomy L1-S1
• Moderate irritation of the sacroiliac joint
