For the tables summarising the test procedures please see 5.4.
Before starting the test procedure, please make sure that the instructions in the
previous chapters were properly followed.
Make sure that: the equipment is not deteriorated and has no damages (power
cable, gas supply tubes, etc.....).
Make sure that: all the fastening bolts and screws are properly placed and
tightened (especially in case of connection with other machines).
Make sure that the equipment bears an identification label featuring the data plate
showing the supply intended for the equipment and its serial number.
At start-up or in TEST ON DEMAND the system will display the installed software
version.
Please follow the instructions in the User Manual (chap. 3.5)
Patient circuit installed and plugged
Flow sensor and oxygen sensor installed
Turn the equipment on and wait for the system to carry out the SELF TEST : follow
the displayed instructions.
If the device does not exceed the SELF TEST please follow the
instructions in the User Manual 3.5.3.
Make sure that at the end of the SELF TEST, the device generates the: acoustic
alarm signal, highlighted on display by the instructions.
Press the "Alarm Reset" key to silence the alarm.
