• Power off the server and disconnect all power cords for this task.
• Prevent exposure to static electricity, which might lead to system halt and loss of data, by keeping static-
sensitive components in their static-protective packages until installation, and handling these devices with
an electrostatic-discharge wrist strap or other grounding system.

Procedure
Step 1.
Install the power distribution board.

Carefully hold the power distribution board by its edges and position it to the chassis.
Ensure that the tabs on the chassis are inserted into the corresponding holes in the power
distribution board; then, slide the power distribution board towards the front of the server.

Install the three screws to secure the power distribution board to the chassis.
Step 2.
Connect the cables to the PDB signal connector and Main power connector on the power
distribution board. See "Power distribution board connectors" on page 41.
Step 3.
Install the power distribution board cover.
