Troubleshooting guide
The following troubleshooting guide describes a number of errors and events
which could occur when using your Permolock together with suggested rem-
edies. Note that this guide cannot describe all the problems and events which
could occur and you should always contact your service contact or Permobil in
case of doubt.
EVENT
The lamp on the locking
device control button flash-
es red.
The locking device is unable
to achieve locking position
when its control button is
activated.
The lamp on the locking
plate control button flashes
red.
The lamp on the locking
plate control button shines
red
and
a
five-second
acoustic signal sounds dur-
ing manual release.
The locking plate will not
open when its control button
is pressed.
(The locking plate
can always be opened using the
manual release handle).
The lamp on the locking
plate control button flashes
irregularly.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Electronics error
Foreign body in locking
device channel.
Batteries discharged.
Error on locking device
solenoid.
Electronics error
The release arm is not in
locked position (Open).
Electronics error
The return spring is broken.
The
locking
mechanism
locking arm is loose.

Troubleshooting

REMEDY
Reset system by pressing the
control button for 10 seconds.
Contact service
Remove the foreign body.
Charge the batteries.
Contact service
Reset system by pressing the
control button for 10 seconds.
Contact service
Make sure the release arm is
in locked position and that the
wheelchair is definitely in or out
of the lock.
Reset system by pressing the
control button for 10 seconds.
