Maintenance
Removing the Mainboard
Use the following procedure to remove the mainboard.
1. Disconnect the system from AC power.
2. Remove the paper tray as described in
on page
3. Remove the battery as described in

5. Remove the keyboard as described in
6. Remove the internal modem (if this option is installed) as described in
the Internal Modem (Option)" on page
7. Remove the rear connector panel.
8. Separate the middle plastic and base plastic assemblies.
9. Remove the power supply as described in
Assembly" on page
10. If the KISS option is installed, remove the KISS pump as described in
the KISS Pump Assembly (Option)" on page
11. Disconnect and remove the following from the mainboard:

KISS pump harness connector (if this option is installed).

Both ends of the gray USB cable.

The two shorter KISS pump standoffs (if this option is installed).

The longer KISS pump standoff (if this option is installed).

The power supply connector.
