Advanced Power Management Configuration
Power Technology
Select Energy Efficient to support power-saving mode. Select Custom to customize system
power settings. Select Disabled to disable power-saving settings. The options are Disable,
Energy Efficient, and Custom.
Power Performance Tuning (Available when "Power Technology" is set to Custom)
Select to allow the BIOS system to configure the Power-Performance Tuning Bias setting.
The options are BIOS Controls EPB and OS Controls EPB.
ENERGY_PERF_BIAS_CFG Mode (ENERGY PERFORMANCE BIAS
CONFIGURATION Mode) (Available when "Power Performance Tuning" is set to
BIOS Controls EPB)
Use this feature to configure the proper operation setting for your machine to achieve the
desired system performance level and energy saving (efficiency) level at the same time.
Selecting Performance can enhance system performance but may consume more power
as energy is needed to fuel the processors for operation. The options are Performance,
Balanced Performance, Balanced Power, and Power.
CPU P State Control (Available when "Power Technology" is set to
Custom)
SpeedStep (P-States)
EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology) allows the system to automatically adjust
processor voltage and core frequency in an effort to reduce power consumption and
heat dissipation. Please refer to Intel's website for detailed information. The options are
Disable and Enable.
Dynamic SST-PP (Speed Select Technology-Performance Profile)
If this feature is set to Enable, the user will be able to configure Intel SST-PP features,
including Base, Configuration 3, and Configuration 4 settings under various processor
working conditions. The options are Disable and Enable.
Intel SST-PP (Speed Select Technology-Performance Profile)
This feature allows the user to choose from two additional Base-Frequency conditions
maximum for CPU P State Control. The options are Base, Config (Configuration) 3, and
Config (Configuration) 4.
