Active Blind Spot Assist with exit warning
Function of Active Blind Spot Assist with exit
warning
Active Blind Spot Assist uses radar sensors to
monitor the area up to 40 m behind and 3 m next
to your vehicle.
The system can detect vehicles travelling from
speeds of approximately 12 km/h and issue a
warning if they move into the monitoring range.

¸ Grey: the system is activated but inopera-
tive.
¸ Green: the system is activated and opera-

If a vehicle is detected within the monitoring
range, the red warning lamp lights up in the corre-
sponding outside mirror. In the Assistance menu,
the lamp in outside mirror
and the lane in which the vehicle is detected is
hatched out.

If a vehicle is detected in the monitoring range
and you switch on the turn signal indicator in the
corresponding direction, a warning tone sounds
twice and the warning lamp flashes red in the
respective outside mirror. Red radar waves
displayed next to your vehicle in the assistance
graphic.
If the turn signal indicator remains on, the display
in the outside mirror flashes for all other detected
vehicles, but no further warning tone sounds. If
you overtake a vehicle quickly, no warning is
given.
